Registration for Secondary 1 Students (Cohort 2025)

• Registration for all Secondary 1 students will be conducted electronically.

• Complete the Student Information Form which will take approximately 10 minutes to complete by 12pm, 24 December 2024.

• Click on this link to access the Secondary 1 Registration microsite, which contains all the necessary information.

• There will be an online briefing (via Zoom) for parents and students. The details are as follows:

  Date: 20 December 2024, Friday

  Time: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

  The Zoom login details will be sent to the designated primary contact of the child via Parents Gateway (PG).

  Please note that all 2025 Secondary 1 parents will be automatically onboarded to Parents Gateway.

  If you are not yet on Parents Gateway, we strongly encourage you to sign up so you can receive timely information, including school announcements and consent forms. To get started, download the free Parents Gateway mobile app (available on iOS and Android) and complete a simple one-time onboarding process.

• Class allocation will be available in Parents Gateway after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, 31 December 2024.

Details of Online Briefing for Secondary 1 Parents and Students

Programme:

Eligibility for More Demanding Level (MDL) Subjects

Students eligible to take subjects at a More Demanding Level (MDL) will be notified via Parents Gateway. You will need to accept or decline the offer online via Parents Gateway by 24 December 2024.

For parents who are not yet on Parents Gateway, a printed form will be provided on the first day of school, 2 January 2025, and must be returned by 6 January 2025.

Appeal for Transfer (Due to Medical Reasons) – latest by 12 p.m. on 19 December 2024

• The Medical Appeal Exercise (MAE) is only applicable to students with serious medical conditions.

• If you would like to apply for a transfer out of St. Gabriel’s Secondary School under MAE, please submit your appeal at St. Gabriel’s Secondary School’s general office in person or email stgss@moe.edu.sg latest by 12pm on 19 December 2024. The MAE application form will only be given to parents upon request. Each student is only allowed to submit one application.

• Documentary evidence of the serious medical condition, along with an official letter from a certified doctor or an assessment from qualified medical professionals outlining the student's condition and needs, must be included in the application.

• Students who are successful in their application will be informed from 30 December 2024.

• School transfer is subject to the availability of vacancies. Successful applicants will not be allowed to reject the reposted school. Students who are unsuccessful in their appeal will remain in their original posted secondary school.
